Mizuno JPX 923 iron family
The JPX 923 iron family was engineered to meet the needs of every type of golfer: professional, elite amateur, avid, novice, and new. The JPX line has evolved because the Mizuno 3D Shaft Optimizer has identified how golfers deliver the golf club through the ball. With swing data from 175,000 golfers per year, the V-chassis and Nickel Chromoly metal were developed to promote stability, feel, sleek profiles, and optimum ball flights (distance, trajectory, and spin). Finally, any golfer can play each model based on their needs; however, the best fit should be identified during a custom club fitting.
The JPX 923 Hot Metal, Hot Metal HL, and Hot Metal Pro are available now. In early 2023, the JPX 923 Forged and JPX 923 Tour will be available. In future articles, we will discuss each model separately with impressions and comparison data.
Why a custom club fitting is vital?
Custom fitting identifies the club specification that will benefit a golfer’s results. The aim is to discover the clubs that produce the needed distance and ball flight. The significant specifications are length, loft, lie, grip size, heft,
What is the Mizuno 3D Shaft Optimizer?
Each golfer requires different golf clubs to achieve their performance goals. The 3D Shaft Optimizer measures 40 swing factors that exhibit the significant characteristics of a golfer’s swing. The elements of club head speed, tempo, release, lie at impact, and shaft motion are used to filter shafts and club heads. However, this is the starting line for a custom club fitting because golf swings are as unique as fingerprints. The golfer’s feedback and ball flight results will be used to discover the best fit. Therefore, an in-person club fitting is essential in making a club purchasing decision.
Club Fitting Services
Our club fitting process at Hensey Sports includes an interview, current club analysis, Mizuno’s 3D Shaft Optimizer assessment, demo club testing, FlightScope X3 shot analysis, FlightScope Environmental Optimizer for real-world performance adjustments, and a recommendation report. When custom clubs are purchased from us after our club fitting, the fitting service is reduced, and the services for fine-tuning the fit are complimentary for 180 days. If a golfer is not looking to purchase but is interested in optimizing current golf clubs, we use the same process in our Golf Equipment Tune-Up and Club Assessment services.
