What we know about the KZG CB I

The KZG CB I is a triple-forged iron with a single-weight port in the center of the shallow cavity. This model targets the skilled iron player who prefers minimal offset, a thin topline, forgiveness, and feel [sound and impact feedback]. The beveled leading edge and the shape of the sole can suit various angles of attack and turf conditions. Moreover, the CB I can be blended with the MB I [muscle back version]. The lofts get stronger in the mid to short irons; however, the lofts and lies can be adjusted +/- 4 degrees.

Who is KZG?

The KZG CB-I’s outstanding stability and solid feel during testing surprised me. In my experience, the KZG CB I irons have a similar sound and strike feedback found in the irons of the brands with the highest reputation for forging and solid impact feel [sound]. Moreover, the CB I offers stability on off-center hits rarely found in small head profiles. The forgiveness is meaningful for the player that struggles with larger profile irons but needs help. My approach shots can be a weakness of my game: I struggle with consistent direction and distance due to occasional toe strikes; however, I maintained reasonable accuracy and distance control with the CB I irons. Meaning my proximity to my target was closer on mishits.

The CB I irons offer a blend of feedback and forgiveness; furthermore, on the golf course, the beveled leading edge and somewhat rounded sole benefit the slightly thin or fat shot in firm or soft conditions. Therefore, it was simple to add the CB I to the bag.

What are the benefits KZG CB-I irons?

I need help with my iron approach shots, but I prefer smaller iron profiles with minimal offset. It goes without saying that practice, fitness, playing, course strategy, properly fit equipment, and mental skills are essential to any performance goal. If you’re getting your golf club fitted, you need to go armed with some understanding. These questions might help you to be in a better position; 

What area of your game do you want to improve? 

This question might sound negative, but do you put in the effort to practice.  Asking some rough and tough questions to yourself will bring out important information.  For example, a golfer who practices should get golf clubs that fit future skill gains, but golfers who do not regularly practice may need technology to improve enjoyment.  Getting custom-made golf clubs will help with enjoyment and performance. So, whether it’s ball-striking, appearance, feel, distance, consistency, or accuracy you seek, evaluate your golf game honestly. 

Where do you most commonly miss shots?
